ANTELOPE ISLAND MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND EVENTS A "Geocache With a Naturalist" adventure is today; the historic Fielding Garr Ranch will reveal how the people lived in the past, when candles were dipped to make a pioneer lantern. Farm ball, pioneer handkerchief dolls, quilting and more take place today and Monday. Participants will need to bring an empty vegetable or soup can to make their own lanterns; The 3rd Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering is from noon-5 p.m. today and Sunday and from noon-8 p.m. Monday at the ranch (call 801-649-5742), at Antelope Island State Park. SAFE HARBOR CRISIS CENTER Safe Harbor Crisis Center offers support groups for men and women who are survivors of rape or sexual assault at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Survivors of domestic violence or those who might be in a violent relationship meet at 6 p.m. Mondays, with a separate class for children (3 and older) of domestic violence. Individuals who might need therapeutic support meet at 10 a.m. Tuesdays. Weekly support groups are free and confidential. Daycare is provided. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
