Health Department to help seniors explore Medicare D

The Davis County Health Department is scheduling appointments for seniors on Medicare to explore enrolling in the Medicare D program.

A trained counselor will be available to help clients review and sign up for the program at four county locations. Seniors will need their Medicare cards, all medication information and any award letters from Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security regarding extra help in paying for medication.

Clients can set an appointment for Nov. 19 or Dec. 10 at the Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center in Kaysville, 81 E. Center St. by calling 544-1235.

Counselors will be available at the Golden Years Activity Center, 726 S. 100 East in Bountiful on Nov. 25 and Dec. 17. Call 295-3479 to schedule an appointment.

Clients can call 773-7065 for a time at Clearfield's Heritage Senior Activity Center, 140 E. Center St., on Dec. 2 or Dec. 23.

The Davis County Health Department Senior Services, 50 E. State St. in Farmington, will hold dates Nov. 18, 20, 24 and 26 and Dec. 4, 5, 9, 12, 15, 19, 22, 29 and 30. Call 451-3377 to schedule an appointment.

All sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
