Thursday July 12 about 30 enclosed ralroad cars full of new cars and trucks were unloaded.  The new cars are then reloaded onto trucks to deliver to car dealerships around the state. Union Pacific is seeing an uptick in shipments of chemicals, suggesting the manufacturing and export sectors of the economy are growing. The railroad is also moving pipe, construction materials and other goods to meet the expansion of oil and natural gas production in states such as North Dakota and Oklahoma. Union Pacific instructor Jerome Czyzewki operates a train simulator at Union Pacific's training facility at Salt Lake Community College.  It develops computer programs and trains conductors on real time train simulators in  dealing with anything that could happen from the cab of a train.
