This ad is one bought by Freedom Path, one of several outside groups supporting Sen. Orrin Hatch against challenges by nine GOP rivals, including former state Sen. Dan Liljenquist. Some $1.5 million was spent by outside groups, including $571,000 by Freedom Path. The single biggest spending PAC was FreedomWorks, which campaigned against Hatch.

U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch attended the Republican caucus at Washington Elementary School last week. From all accounts, it appears the six-term incumbent did well with delegates and outside groups played a  role with massive spending.
