Trampled by Turtles • There’s something both old and new in the sound of Trampled by Turtles. The old comes from the fact that the Duluth, Minn., quintet works in the seemingly timeless genre of bluegrass. The new comes from the influences band members cite, which include Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and Nirvana. With seven studio albums to their credit, the bandmates — guitarist/singer Dave Simonett, bassist Tim Saxhaug, banjo player Dave Carroll, mandolinist Eric Berry and fiddler Ryan Young — will have a deep repertoire of songs to choose for their set list. Opening acts: Colorado folk band Elephant Revival, Amy Helm.<freeform>
