Boz Scaggs

Show of the week • It's been nearly 50 years since Boz Scaggs recorded his first solo album, and the 70-year-old singer/guitarist/songwriter shows no signs of slowing down. Scaggs gained early fame as guitarist for the Steve Miller Band in the late '60s before going solo — recording with session players (many of whom would go on to form the band Toto) on his 1976 breakthrough album "Silk Degrees." The album included his hits "Lowdown" and "Lido Shuffle." He's not content to be a nostalgia act, though. In 2010 he toured with fellow veteran rockers Donald Fagen (Steely Dan) and Michael McDonald (The Doobie Brothers), and last year he released a new album, "Memphis."
