DVD •Even when you watch “The Raid 2,” you may not believe one movie could pack in so much hard-hitting action.

This Indonesian thriller brings back Rama (Iko Uwais), the rookie cop who survived the first movie, who’s persuaded to go undercover to infiltrate Jakarta’s crime families and root out the corrupt cops who do their bidding. Rama gets sent to prison to befriend Uco (Arifin Putra), the hot-tempered son of mob kingpin Bangun (Tio Pakusadewo), who’s dealing with a new rival (Alex Abbad) stirring up trouble with Bangun’s Japanese partners.

The sequel’s a little less focused than the first film, but writer-director Gareth Evans compensates with nasty new villains, massive hand-to-hand battles and a scary-good car chase.
