'Airplane!'

The 1980 comedy "Airplane!," a fast-paced spoof of disaster movies, has a cast including Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack, Lloyd Bridges and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

'Buck'

The 2011 documentary "Buck," a profile of real-life "horse whisperer" Buck Brannaman, who overcame a violent childhood to develop gentle practices in training horses. After the movie, Dirk K. Vanderwall, associate professor inUtah State University's School of Veterinary Medicine, will lead a discussion. Presented by the Utah Film Center and the Natural History Museum of Utah as this month's Science Movie Night.

'Twenty Feet From Stardom'

Sundance Institute launches its summer outdoor series with "Twenty Feet From Stardom," the Oscar-winning documentary about the lives of backup singers.

'Art and Craft'

The documentary "Art and Craft," which looks at the career of art forger Mark Landis, who faked paintings for 30 years and donated his counterfeits for free. After the screening, filmmakers Sam Cullmand and Jennifer Grausman will take part in a Q&A, via Skype, moderated by KUER's Doug Fabrizio.

Damn These Heels! LGBT Film Festival

The Utah Film Center presents Damn These Heels! LGBT Film Festival — a forum in which LGBT issues, ideas, hopes, dreams and art are explored through film and discussion. The opening-night film is "Compared to What? The Improbable Journey of Barney Frank," a documentary about the Massachusetts congressman and first openly gay member of the House of Representatives.
