Numerous Box Elder County fire departments rushed to the scene of a five-alarm blaze in Brigham City late Sunday night.

Brigham City spokesman Rick Bosworth said the 9 p.m. Sunday blaze heavily damaged an old, abandoned woolen mill and an adjacent tin building at 500 E. 56 North.

Brigham City, Corinne, Willard and Tremonton crews had extinguished the fire by 10 p.m., but some crews stayed through the night to keep watch for any flareups and to douse hot spots.

No injuries were reported.

Bosworth said the Utah State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating what caused the blaze.

Damage estimates were still being assessed on Monday.
