Unified Police say that a man went to Wal-Mart for first-aid supplies after he had been shot.

About 4:30 a.m. Sunday, a Wal-Mart employee noticed the wounded man and his friends buying the supplies and called the police, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. An officer found the men near 3500 W. 5700 South in Taylorsville, and found out from the victim that he had been shot after a party near Jordan Canal Road, Hoyal said.

The man was walking down the street when several males pulled up in a white car and, after a short conversation, one of them fired at the man, Hoyal said. One of the bullets struck the man in his upper body, the lieutenant added.

He was taken to Jordan Valley Hospital in fair condition, Hoyal said. Investigators have not been able to find the crime scene or a better description of the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
