All four passengers in the Explorer were taken to Utah Valley Medical Center in Nephi. Sandoval died from her injuries, while the male driver was flown to the medical Center in critical condition.

An 11-year-old girl was also flown to Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City for precautionary reasons, according to the UHP. A 16-year-old girl in the Explorer will be released to her step-mother, a statement from the UHP adds.
