Mob the farm with Slow Food
You’ve heard of a flash mob. Now try a farm mob. Members of Slow Food Utah will travel to Blue Spring Farm in Tremonton to help get the organic and heirloom farm ready for the season. Participants should plan for a morning of “down and dirty farm work,” followed by lunch. Remember to bring sunscreen, work clothes, sturdy shoes and water bottles.
When • Saturday, May 31, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where • Meet at the University of Utah stadium parking lot, 451 S. 1400 East, to carpool to Tremonton. Or meet at the farm at 10:30 a.m., 10855 W. 12800 North, Tremonton.

Dog days of summer cocktail contest
Celebrate the dog days of summer at a cocktail shake-off to benefit the Humane Society of Utah. Mixologist from Log Haven, BTG Wine Bar, Finca/Pago and Taqueria 27 will compete for the best summer cocktail.
When • Sunday, June 1, doors open at 5:30 p.m., contest at 6:15 p.m.

Cost • $20, includes hors d’oeuvres, tax and tip. Guests are welcome to bring their well-behaved dogs.
