Spanish Fork claimed the Class 4A girls' golf championship Wednesday at Provo's East Bay course while Ogden's Xena Motes captured medalist honors.

The Dons were led by Sabrina Naala, who finished third behind Motes and Roy's Hailey Case.

Spanish Fork defeated second-place Roy 278 points to 261 in the team competition. Logan finished third.

The Class 1A girls' and boys' golf titles were held Wednesday at the Southgate course in St. George, where Green River claimed the boys' crown and Milford captured the girls' championship.

Green River beat second-place Rich by 12 shots to win the boys' title behind medalist Chance Pfander's 75. Monticello's Tanner Eardley fired an 80 to take second-place honors, while McKay Jarman of Rich captured third.

Milford's home course is affectionately known as the "Windy Five" because it consists of five holes in a windy part of town. But it was good enough to allow the Tiger girls to earn a 222-188 victory over Rich.

McKell Davis, Kamree Sherwood, Sadee Rollins and Baylee Netto led the way for Milford.

Allie Wall of Dugway fired a 100 to win medalist honors, beating Ashleke Chynoweth by one shot. Mady White of St. Joseph finished third.

In a rescheduled tournament, the Class 3A girls tee it up Thursday at Mountain View in West Jordan to decide the final golf title of the season.
