What kind of meal would make Mom happy on Mother’s Day?

Does she look forward to a buffet with seafood, salads, pastries and dessert at an elegant hotel? Or maybe she’s the kind of gal who’s satisfied with something more simple — like the $9.99 brunch — followed by a little furniture shopping?

Whatever her preference, there’s a Utah restaurant ready to make Mom feel like a queen.

Here are some of the places that are offering Mother’s Day meals this Sunday, May 11. (For even more, visit www.sltrib.com/entertainment.) Remember to make your reservations soon, as the spring holiday is one of the busiest dining days of the year. Prices listed do not include tax, tip or beverages, unless noted.

Bambara • 202 S. Main, Salt Lake City; 801-363-5454. Buffet open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Includes baked goods, carving station, made-to-order eggs and other specialties. Adults, $42; children 6-12, $22; 65 and older, $36. Regular à la carte dinner menu available beginning at 5 p.m.

Cafe Trio • 680 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City; 801-533-8746. Serving regular menu with specials. Brunch, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner, 3 to 9 p.m.

Caffe Niche • 779 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City; 801-433-3380. Brunch buffet served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Includes hot and cold entrées, breakfast items, salads and desserts. Adults, $30; children 3-12, $15; under 3, free.

Cuisine Unlimited • 4641 S. Cherry St., Salt Lake City; 801-268-2332. Pre-order and pick up a Mother’s Day meal from this popular caterer. Menu includes banana-pecan stuffed brioche, crêpe torte with smoked salmon and herb cream cheese, and spinach salad with roasted strawberries. Cost is $38 per person. Order by Friday for pick-up Saturday or Sunday. Delivery available for additional fee.

Faustina • 454 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City; 801-746-4441. Buffet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Includes salads, prime-rib carving station, herb-crusted salmon, Italian sausage, made-to-order omelets, pastries, desserts and $3 mimosa bar. Adults, $30; children 3-12, $15; under 3, free.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar • 20 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City; 801-355-3704. For $39.95, adults get a three-course meal that includes eggs Benedict, prime rib hash and a trio of sauces. Children get three courses for $18.95. Special available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular menu also available until 9 p.m.
