Running a marathon takes long hours of training, and let’s not forget what happened to the first guy to finish one.

According to Running USA’s 2013 Annual Marathon Report, there was an estimated 487,000 U.S. marathon finishers in 2012. That was down from the all-time high of 518,000 in 2011. The website statisticbrain.com put the percentage of the U.S. population who has run a marathon at 0.5 percent.

So it’s safe to say few accomplish the feat. With that in mind, The Tribune set out to showcase the Salt Lake City Marathon course. In the video above, we cover the entire 26.2 miles (pretty much since there are a few spots you can’t drive) and do it in 3 1/2 minutes.

After watching it you can say you’ve completed a marathon. Just hope no one asks follow-up question about your experience.
