Murray police shut down and cordoned off the Murray Central Station’s FrontRunner access just after noon Tuesday to check out a suspicion bag.

Utah Transit Authority spokesman said the bag was found unattended at the station, at 140 W. Vine Street, and police were notified. As a precaution, they ordered the area closed down about 12:15 p.m.

By 12:40 p.m., police had cleared the scene after determining the bag contained nothing harmful, and FrontRunner traffic resumed.

UTA instituted a “bus bridge” service for FrontRunner passengers between the S. Jordan and Sandy Civic Center stations until police ended the closure.
