Westminster basketball: Griffins win Frontier Conference women's tournament

Alli Blake scored 20 points as the Westminster College women's basketball team defeated Lewis-Clark State 59-58 on Tuesday at Behnken Field House to win the Frontier Conference tournament.

Kelsi Wells added 11 points for the Griffins (24-2), who earned a spot in the NAIA National Championships, March 19-25 in Frankfort, Ky.

Men's golf

BYU finished third in the Fresno State Classic, paced by Joe Parkinson's ninth-place individual finish. Parkinson shot a 72 in the final round and finished 7-over par. UC Santa Barbara (21 over) won the event, followed by Nevada (24 over) and BYU (35 over).


CSU Bakersfield 3-4, Utah State 2-3 • In Bakersfield, Calif., the Aggies got swept in the doubleheader.

Freshman catcher Syndey Hart hit a solo home run in the first game for USU (5-9), and also drove in the Aggies' second run with a single.
