The line-up for the Tumbleweeds Film Festival, Salt Lake City’s movie event for children and family movies, is firming up with the announcement of the opening and closing films.

Opening the festival is the German-made 3-D animated adventure “Knight Rusty,” in which a would-be knight must clear his name and save the kingdom of Scrapland. The movie will screen Friday at 7 p.m. at the Rose Wagner Center for the Performing Arts, 138 W. 300 South.

Closing the festival will be a 75th anniversary screening of the 1939 classic “The Wizard of Oz,” starring Judy Garland as the girl who travels to a colorful fantasy land and just wants to get home. The movie will screen Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Rose Wagner.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday Tumbleweeds screenings are $6 each, and are available at ArtTix. Read the Tribune’s coverage of Tumbleweeds for more information.
