Police arrested a man suspected in two bank robberies in two weeks.

David Erik Traversa, 21, was arrested Saturday evening under suspicion of robbing a Holladay US Bank on Feb. 10, then a Salt Lake City US Bank on Wednesday.

The first bank was located at 1998 E. Murray Holladay Road, according to the Unified Police Department. Then on Wednesday afternoon, Salt Lake City police say the suspect entered the US Bank branch at 1375 S. Foothill Drive, demanded money from a teller and fled with the loot on foot.

Salt Lake City police named Traversa as a suspect on Friday and called for tips on his location. By Saturday evening, police picked up Traversa in Midvale, according to a Salt Lake City news release.

The US Bank robbery was one of five in the city within 48 hours.
