7th Annual Urban Iditarod • This Iditarod is just like the real one in Alaska except there are no dogs or sleds and is only about 4 miles long. Humans race through downtown Salt Lake City in this version, pulling shopping carts and making rest stops along the way at local pubs and clubs. Where: Starts at 400 South and West Temple

Admission: Participation is free of charge

K9 Challenge Sled Dog Race • If humans pulling shopping carts isn't your thing, you can watch real dog teams race at this event. Bring your own chairs. More information, k9challenge.squarespace.com/.

When: Racing starts 8:30 a.m. Saturday

Where: Middle Sinks area of Logan Canyon

Admission: Free

Diabetes Expo • Health screenings, workshops, cooking demonstrations and experts on preventing and managing diabetes. More information, bit.ly/1m6kLnH.

When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday

Where: South Towne Expo Center, 9575 S. State St., Sandy

13th Annual Belly Dance Spring Fest • This annual festival is the largest belly dancing festival in Utah with more than 400 dancers. Live music,vendors, food, tarot readings and more. Information, http://www.bellydancingbythia.com/springfest.html.

When: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday

Where: Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 West

Admission: $7, children under 5 free

Dr. Seuss' Birthday Party • Celebrate Dr. Seuss' 110th birthday with the Cat in the Hat, games, treats and the movie, "Horton Hears a Who."

When: 2 p.m. Saturday

Where: Weber County Library, Pleasant Valley Branch, 5568 S. Adams Ave., Washington Terrace

Admission: Free

4th Annual Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous • Western culture, food and music plus cowboy poetry are highlighted with featured performers that include Suzy Bogguss and Dave Stamey. More information, cachevalleycowboyrendezvous.com/.

When: Friday through Sunday

Where: Mountain Crest High School, 255 S. 800 East, Hyrum

Admission: Free, but some events, including Suzy Bogguss, Dave Stamey and the cowboy family dance cost $3-$25.

Craft Sabbath • A monthly gathering of local artists and their creations including jewelry, sculpture, clothing, dolls and more. Information, craftsabbath.com/.
