Letter: 'Traditional' marriage is safe, even if gay couples marry

Clearly there has been a misunderstanding among those who oppose same-sex marriage. They're always talking about how we must "protect" and "defend" traditional marriage.

Allow me to clarify how this works:

Traditional marriage isn't going anywhere. Opposite-sex couples will still be allowed to marry. Furthermore, their marriages won't be affected in the slightest by allowing same-sex couples to marry.

There. Everybody got that?
