DVD • “Game of Thrones” should come with a warning label. This HBO series can be extremely addictive. And Season 3 of the tale, based on the novels of George R.R. Martin, built on the first two seasons.

There is nothing else like this on television — an epic tale with a huge cast, unbelievable sets and locations and a narrative set in a mythical, sometimes magical world of kings and knights and three growing young dragons.

In addition to the 10 hourlong episodes that made up Season 3, the DVD release includes commentaries, deleted and extended scenes, and several featurettes that expand on the series. They include an introduction to the new characters who joined the show in Season 3; a look at the politics of marriage in “GOT”; and a trip north beyond the wall to meet the Wildlings.

TV doesn’t get any better than this.
