Letter: Man rescued from avalanche lucky and smart

Great writeup by Janelle Stecklein ("Farmington man suffers two broken legs, broken arm in avalanche," Tribune, Jan. 12). Everybody who reads it is grateful for the happy ending.

But I think there should have been a shout-out to the Cache County Search and Rescue guys who happened to be nearby. You know the old saying that sometimes it's better to be lucky than smart? Seems to me that this young man was both.
