Despite holding a substantial advantage in shots, the Utah Grizzlies couldn’t convert enough of their chances to earn a win Wednesday night, falling 2-1 to the Idaho Steelheads in Boise.
Utah entered the final period with a 1-0 advantage, thanks to a second-period goal by D.J. Jelitto, but the Grizzlies could not make it hold up.
The Grizzlies finished with a 40-22 advantage in shots, and had six power-play chances to the Steelheads’ two, but could not generate any additional offense.
The teams play three more times in the next five days, starting Friday in Boise.
