Salt Lake Home Show • Exhibitors and demonstrations on home improvement, design and organization plus cooking and much more. More information, http://www.saltlakecityhomeshow.com.

When: 2-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday

Where: South Towne Expo Center, 9575 S. State St.

Admission: Adults $10 at the door, $8 online; seniors 60 and over $7, children 12 and under free

Exploring Our Communitrees • This program helps participants discover hidden wonders of local trees up-close and personal, and provides a few nose-to-beak experiences with some of the native birds that call them home. More information, http://www.tracyaviary.org/upcoming-events/#communitrees.

Admission: Free with aviary admission: adults $7, seniors 65 and older and students 13 and older $6, children 3-12 $5

Ring Around the Rose • Ballet West will present a performance designed to give children an introduction to ballet using the story and characters of "The Nutcracker" as part of Repertory Dance Theatre's Ring Around the Rose series for children and families that explores dance, theatre, music and storytelling. Bug Brigade • Observe and handle live bugs to learn about their anatomy, behavior and important ecological roles. Bug Brigade takes place on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. More information, http://www.nhmu.utah.edu/bug-brigade or 801-581-6927.

Where: Natural History Museum of Utah, 301 Wakara Way

Admission: Adults $11, youth 13-24 and seniors 65 and older $9, children 3-12 $8

Star Wars Night • Meet up with Darth Vader, Jedi Knights and Storm Troopers as the Utah Grizzlies and Make-A-Wish partner to raise money to grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. The Grizzlies host the Stockton Thunder. More information, http://www.utah.wish.org.

When: 6 p.m. Saturday

13th Annual No Pants Subway Ride • Participants will ride TRAX trains sans pants as part of a movement that has spread this year to close to 50 cities including New York, London, Sydney, Beijing, Munich, Mexico City and Buenos Aires. More information, http://www.improveverywhere.com.

When: 3-5 p.m. Sunday

Where: Participants are meeting at Arena Station
