It’s the last of the BCS championship games (6:30 p.m., ESPN) — goodbye and good riddance!

Not that I have anything against Auburn and Florida State. I’m actually looking forward to this matchup.

But the BCS has been a joke since it began. A corrupt system that is inherently unfair.

The plus-one, four-team playoff we’re getting next year isn’t a huge improvement, but it is an improvement.

Elsewhere on TV ...

The Bachelor (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4) • Juan Pablo meets the 27 women, none of whom is from Utah. I, for one, am relieved.

Almost Human (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13) • Kennex and Dorian go after a killer who straps bombs to his victim’s necks.

Major Crimes (7 and 9 p.m., TNT) • The squad pursues a serial killer.

Hostages (8 and 9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) • Ellen operates on the president. (Finale)

Castle (9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4) • An arsonist becomes a killer.

Teen Wolf (11 p.m., MTV) • Scott, Stiles and Allison suffer side effects from the ritual sacrifice. (Mid-season premiere)
