It's not a one-man deal, Ronald Butler said. With Travis Reynolds out, everyone will have to step up.

But it's clear from the Mountain West title game that Butler, a junior receiver, may be filling a more specific role as the downfield threat. Against Fresno State, he had five catches for a career-high 145 yards, culling a 29.0 ypc average after putting up only a 15.7 mark throughout the whole season.

Building that kind of relationship with Darell Garretson has been a process, he said.

"With [Reynolds] going down, it's helped me get a chemistry with [Garretson] and just telling him he can trust in me. 'I'm gonna go deep, I'm gonna make the catches, you can throw it.'"

In this video, Butler talks about what the offense is talking about this week, and what it's been like to adjust from junior college to Division I.
