Plans for the weekend: Two nights with Justin Townes Earle

• Pop-metal band Hearts&Hands performs tonight at The Shred Shed, 60 E. Exchange Place (360 South), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Bon Vivant, Visioneer, Silter. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $15, at 24Tix.

• Country-music performer Colt Ford performs tonight at The Westerner, 3360 S. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8:30. Tickets are $15, at Smith's Tix.

• Americana musician Justin Townes Earle performs tonight and Saturday at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Jay William Henderson (tonight), Morgan Snow (Saturday). The show starts at 9 p.m. each night. Tonight's show is sold out, but tickets for Saturday's show are $30, at the venue's website.

• Electro-pop duo Blood on the Dance Floor performs Saturday at The Murray Theater, 4959 S. State St., Murray. Show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $16.50, at Smith's Tix.

The Piano Guys, the YouTube-savvy Utah instrumental sensation, performs its Christmas show Saturday at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, from $27 to $175, at Smith's Tix.

Natural Roots headlines "A Reggae Christmas" show Saturday at Bar Deluxe, 666 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Daverse, Miss Omega. Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.
