Ogden Christmas Village • Ogden’s annual Christmas Village opens Saturday at the Municipal Gardens. Events Saturday include a Santa Run, Holiday Electric Light Parade and Christmas Gala with fireworks. When: Saturday, 4:30 p.m. Santa Run, 5:30 p.m. parade, 6:30 p.m. Christmas Village opens

Temple Square Lights • The Christmas lights at Temple Square will twinkle nightly starting Friday through Dec. 31.

North Pole Express • This annual Christmas tradition takes passengers on a 90-minute journey with Santa to the North Pole. Elves serve hot drinks and treats while singing carols. More information, hebervalleyrr.org/specialevents/northpoleexpress/.

When: Begins Friday and runs Thursdays through Saturdays through Dec. 14, then daily except Sundays through Dec. 24.

7th Annual Winter Market • The market showcases Utah handcrafted arts and ethnic products with live music and dance performances. More information www.culturalcelebration.org.

TELEVISION • The always classy Hallmark Hall of Fame serves up a holiday movie on Sunday. “Christmas In Conway” will tug at your heart – a man (Andy Garcia) tries to arrange the perfect gift for his dying wife (Mary-Louise Parker).

Local sports on TV • In NBA action, the Utah Jazz host the Phoenix Suns (Friday, 7 p.m., ROOT). On Saturdat, there are three local college football games more or less concurrently — Utah at Colorado (noon, P12N); Wyoming at Utah State (noon, ROOT); BYU at Nevada (1 p.m., CBSSN)
