Grade • A-

DVD/BLURAY • The best romance on television this fall dosen't involve twentysomethings in board shorts and bikinis, it revolves around characters played by 75-year-old Derek Jacobi and 78-year-old Anne Reid.

In "Last Tango in Halifax," childhood sweethearts Alan (Jacobi) and Celia (Reid) reconnect via Facebook and awkwardly rekindle a romance that played out decades earlier, before each of them married, raised families and was widowed.

The six-episode British series, which aired on PBS in the United States, features Alan and Celia's children and grandchildren, who contribute more than their share of turmoil.

But make no mistake about it — the seniors are at the center of this funny, sweet, charming romance. —
