Steve Griffin | The Salt Lake Tribune Salt Lake City is among a trio of Utah cities on Forbes magazine’s 2013 list of the top 25 places for business and careers.

Pound for pound, Salt Lake City is one of the most creative places in the country, according to a survey by the real-estate site Movoto.

Blogger Natalie Grigson tallied the top 10 most creative mid-sized cities, and put Salt Lake City in the top spot.

Grigson’s criteria were the number of art-supply stores, musical instrument stores and teachers, galleries, art schools, bookstores, colleges and universities, and theaters and performing arts centers per capita. She ranked 100 cities in each category, from 1 to 100.

Salt Lake City ranked second in art supply stores, music stores, galleries, book stores and colleges/universities. It came in third in theaters and performing arts centers, and eighth in art schools. No other city ranked so highly in as many categories.
