The Unified Police Department wants the public's help identifying a suspected bank robber.

At 1:34 p.m. Saturday, the man went to the Chase Bank at 6275 S. Highland Drive in Holladay and presented a teller with a note that indicated he wanted money, according to a news release. He also threatened that he had a firearm, the release adds.

He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen driving away in a maroon Honda Accord, according to UPD.

No one in the bank was hurt in the robbery.

UPD has released the suspect's photo in hopes that someone recognizes him. The news release cautions that he is considered armed and dangerous.

Police describe the robber as a white man in his 30s, who stands 5-foot-10, has a thin build, a goatee and a shaved head. He was wearing a polo shirt, sun glasses and plaid shorts.

If anyone has any information about this bank robbery or has information as to the identity of the suspect they are asked to call the UPD at 801-743-5950.
