Nazi gas chambers
Re Ron Zamir's guest commentary on Sept. 7 ("The Jewish New Year and national interest"):
I would like to address only one paragraph of Zamir's interesting article. I agree that it is really very sad that many good people were silent about the Holocaust during World War II because they did not believe in the reality of gas chambers.
However, I found quite disturbing Zamir's reference to "gas chambers in Poland." It would be educational for many Americans if he had described them as "Nazi gas chambers," or gas chambers in "Nazi (or German)-occupied Poland."
