Andy Samberg plays a goofy NYPD detective in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" — and he's the weakest thing in a strong comedy pilot. He seems to have been dropped into this from a very different sitcom, or maybe he thinks he's playing an idiot out of a "Saturday Night Live" sketch. If they rein him in and tone that character down, this could be a really good show.
