Brazilian point guard Raul Neto will spent at least another season overseas before joining the Utah Jazz, the website Basketeria.com.br reported Thursday night.

The Jazz acquired Neto in a trade with Atlanta, which selected him with the 47th pick in the second round of the NBA Draft and sent him to Utah.

Neto is 21 years old. Last season, he averaged 8.5 points and 2.9 assists for Lagun Arco GBC in the Spanish League. He was a member of Brazilian national team in the 2012 Olympics.

Neto played in three games for the Jazz during the recent Orlando Summer League. He averaged 3.7 points and three assists in 16 minutes. In a 98-69 win over Brooklyn, he finished with seven points, four rebounds and three assists.

Even though Neto's play earned praise from the Jazz coaching staff, he was never expected to play in the NBA this season.

In the interview with Basketeria.com.br, Neto confirmed his plans to return to Spain next season.
