Kaysville cops probe early morning crash
Kaysville police had a mystery on their hands Monday morning after a car crashed through a fence and landscaping before striking a business.
Police Capt. Brent Ward told the Standard-Examiner that the incident occurred about 4 a.m. at 100 S. Main Street. The car, found on its hood, was traced through its license plate to an 18-year-old man registered as the vehicle's owner.
However, the man who appeared to be intoxicated insisted he had not been driving. The matter remained under investigation, police said.
Car parts and debris from the fence and landscaping were scattered throughout the accident scene.
