Civics Central: Taylorsville considers tax increase, Salt Lake City holds budget hearing

Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Alpine City Council • Will consider bond releases and a final fiscal year budget, and hold a closed executive meeting; Tuesday, June 11, 7 p.m., 20 N. Main, Alpine. View the Alpine agenda.

Centerville Planning Commission • Will hold a public hearing on a request for a conditional use permit to operate a fast-food restaurant in a C-H (Commercial-High) Zone, and a final site plan for the expansion of the existing gas station, at 1011 S. Midvale Planning Commission • Will take public comment on the proposed 16-unit Derald Smith apartments at 8250 S.
