Sweet Sugar House
Re "Gathering spot planned to sweeten Sugar House" (Tribune, May 26):
Sugar House, the village centered where Highland Drive meets 2100 South, has it all bookstores, parks, library, shops, grocery stores, health services, a college, banks and restaurants. Bus service is readily available and soon a streetcar line for those who, odd as it seems, want to go somewhere else.
We who live in the village can mostly walk. Lunch at a restaurant, visit a bookstore, read Barron's and the Wall Street Journal at the Sprague Library while returning a book. If I need to drive I am just two minutes from a freeway entrance.
It may be my age, but the wine-in-a-box now seems heavier. So a rest between the liquor store and my apartment at new Sugarmont Plaza will be welcome.
