She was a little upset about not getting the drugs she paid for, police say.

A woman bought a balloon of what she thought was heroin from an alleged dealer in downtown Salt Lake City on Monday morning, only to find out the drugs were fake, said South Salt Lake police Sgt. Matthew Budd. She followed his vehicle in her own onto Interstate 15.

He tried to evade her, but she followed him off the interstate and into the parking lot of a 7-Eleven at 3300 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake. She ran into his vehicle with hers, then got out, got into his vehicle and started beating him, Budd said.

He eventually drove off and the woman fell out of the vehicle, leading some witnesses to think she’d been the victim in an auto-pedestrian accident.

Police have not been able to track down the alleged dealer. The woman was uninjured. Police allowed her to leave in her vehicle, Budd said.
