Park City competing for 'Best Town Ever' title
Park City could be the "Best Town Ever."
Outside Magazine has named Park City a top 10 finalist in its "Best Towns Ever" competition.
The winner will be decided via Facebook voting daily for the favorite town through June 10.
According to a statement from Park City, it was named a top 10 finalist by the magazine "based on its amazing access to world-class recreation."
Park City originated as a silver mining boomtown, officially founded in 1884. Today, according to city officials, the greater Park City area contains 7,000 acres of open space, about 7,500 acres of ski terrain and 400 miles of trails.
