Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune A small garden in a Hildale compound alleged to have been built for Warren Jeffs. Willie Jessop was the sole bidder at an auction on courthouse steps for a property previously used by Warren Jeffs' Fundamentalist Church of Latter-day Saints Thursday, April 25, 2013. The property includes several homes, a storehouse and what was formerly a public school.

Hildale • Last week, as Trent Nelson and I toured a compound here built for Warren Jeffs, I used my phone to capture some video.

The resulting video should be useful for getting an idea of what the compound is like.

Please keep in mind that this video really was shot with a cell phone and edited during a car ride; so, it’s not the slickest thing in the world.

The video also doesn’t get into a lot of the legal details surrounding the property. For that information, visit some of last week’s coverage of the compound, or visit the Tribune’s main polygamy page.

As we reported before, the compound was purchased in an auction by former Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints spokesman Willie Jessop. That auction was the result of a lawsuit Jessop filed against the leadership of the FLDS church.
