Henry David Thoreau perfectly described the kind of weather Utah expects this weekend: "Spring - an experience in immortality."

At least, we may all wish Time would just stop come Saturday, when the Wasatch Front will be bathed in sunshine, fresh air and scattered clouds worthy of any child's imagination, whether age 8 or 80.

The National Weather Service predicted high temperatures Saturday in the upper-60s to low-70s, mirroring Friday's forecast for the Salt Lake and Tooele valleys.

Southern Utahns looked for clear, sunny skies and highs in the mid- to upper-80s. It's definitely time to hike, bike, swim or barbecue in Utah's Dixie.

Air quality statewide will be in the "Green," or healthy category, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.

Salt Lake City's high Saturday was pegged at 73, up from Friday's 68-degree forecast; Ogden looked for 72 and 67 degrees, respectively; Provo 74 and 71; Logan 72 and 67; Wendover 75 and 70; Duchesne 72 and 69; Cedar City 73 and 70; St. George 89 and 84; and Moab 77 and 74 degrees.
