2013 boys' basketball all-state teams and MVPs
The Salt Lake Tribune named its all-state teams and most valuable players for the recently concluded boys' basketball season.
Lone Peak senior Nick Emery, who led Lone Peak to its third consecutive Class 5A state championship, was named the 5A MVP.
Senior Jalen Moore, whose half-court heave in overtime of the in the Class 4A state semifinals helped propel Sky View to the Class 4A state crown, earned MVP honors in 4A.
Senior Jake Miles, Morgan's prolific scorer, led his team to the state title and was rewarded with the 3A MVP award.
Senior Race Parsons, who finished fifth all time in the state in career points, earned the nod as the 2A MVP.
Senior Braxton Syrett led Bryce Valley to the Class 1A state championship and was named the 1A MVP.
Quincy Lewis got his Lone Peak team to buy into the notion that it could be the nation's best, and the Knights accomplished the goal. Lewis is our boys' basketball coach of the year.
