That lengthy football signing list that BYU announced in February has another addition. JCFootball.com reported Thursday that the Cougars have received a commitment from Robertson Daniel, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound defensive back from De Anza Community College in Cupertino, Calif. Cupertino, of course, is the birthplace of Apple Computers. Robertson Daniel (those of us with first names for last names and vice versa know his pain) played two years for De Anza and had 90 tackles and six interceptions. He earned first-team juco All-America honors after the 2011 season. He sat out last year to clear up some academic issues. BYU can't announce the addition until it receives Daniel's letter of intent, which is supposedly due on Friday. The website said Daniel has two years to play two at BYU and will join the Cougars after finishing up some academic work in May.BYU has released a few more details about Saturday's Blue-White Game at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Gates open at 10 a.m. and the team will begin warmup drills at 11 a.m. The game itself is expected to begin around 11:20 a.m. Admission is free. The first-team offense will compete against the first-team defense, and vice versa, which is different than most spring games where coaches generally keep No. 1s from going against No. 1s.
