Food drive under way • Through Saturday, the city is collecting nonperishable food for the Utah Food Bank. Drop off sites include City Hall, 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd.; Whitmore Library, 2197 E. Fort Union Blvd.; and Cottonwood Heights Parks & Recreation, 7500 S. 2500 East. Donations also may be dropped off at the Easter Egg Hunt in Butler Park, 7500 S. 2700 East, at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Does the Easter Bunny swim? • You bet! Murray City is holding its annual Easter Egg Splash Saturday in its Park Center pool at 202 E. Murray Park Ave. Tickets can be purchased Friday at the front desk, and non-Park Center members cost $3 while members get in for $1. The egg hunt schedule is as follows: kids 7 to 10 years at 9:30 a.m., 4 to 6 years at 9:45 and 10 a.m., 3 years and younger at 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. For kids 2 and younger, swim diapers and plastic pants are a must and children should bring waterproof bags for egg stash. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Park Center will offer free admission for KidZone, a coloring contest, pickleball, Cornhole, Zumba and Open Plunge. For more information, call 801-284-4200.
