The FBI wants the public’s help in identifying and finding a bank robber who held up four financial institutions in Idaho and one in Utah.

Debbie Dujanovic Bertram, spokeswoman for the bureau’s Salt Lake City office, said Thursday that the same man is believed to have robbed banks in the Idaho cities of Boise and Garden City, and in Cedar City, Utah, between December and Wednesday.

“Witnesses to the bank robberies have generally described him as a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years old with gray hair,” Dujanovic Bertram said. “During each robbery he either verbally demands cash or displays a note; no weapon has been reported.”

The robber is further described as 5 feet 9 or 10 inches and weighing between 145 and 180 pounds. He has worn blue jeans, gray, green and navy blue jackets, white sneakers, glasses, a green ball cap and has carried a red bag.

In his most recent holdup, on Wednesday at a U.S. Bank in Boise, he wore a fake beard.

A Mountain America Credit Union in Cedar City was robbed Feb. 26.

The public is cautioned to avoid approaching the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI Salt Lake City Division at 801-579-1400.
