Re “Utah TV viewers continue to abandon KSL Ch. 5” (Tribune, March 3):

It is no wonder KUTV Ch. 2 beats KSL in ratings for local news. Just look at their background sets: They are colorful, textured, layered and interesting.

Now, look at the other station’s sets: They are mostly a hard, cold, glossy blue that bangs up against the retina almost painfully.

My compliments to KUTV’s set designers.
