Re “Margaret Dayton’s drive against abortion drags on” (Tribune, Feb. 21):

Sen. Margaret Dayton, R-Orem, and her cronies want to lower the number of abortions in Utah with her SB60 legislation, Abortion Statistics and Reporting Requirements, along with her bill last year that now requires a 72-hour waiting period for an abortion. Why not try a different approach?

Now, people, this will take some common sense, so take a deep breath. Why not give our children comprehensive birth control options?

I know, I know … this is thinking “out of the box.” But just think, if teens knew how to protect themselves, the number needing abortions would fall.

Just a thought.
