Dance: Ballet West's gift, plus '198 Inches of Awesome' at Sugar Space, and U. dance concert

Ballet West donation

The Barbara Barrington Jones family foundation, located in Lehi, has donated $100,000 to Ballet West's education and outreach programs. The company says the education programs have reached 101,724 students and educators throughout Utah during the 2011-2012 school year.

Dance workshops

Repertory Dance Theatre will hold two workshops for dancers ages 10-13 and 14-18, as well as a concert in Gunnison.

When • Workshops: Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25-26, 3:30 p.m.

Concert • Wednesday, Feb. 27, 7 p.m.

U.'s Performing Dance Company

The University of Utah Modern Dance Department's company presents its spring concert, with work from faculty members and guests.
