1. Gonzaga (23-2)

Zags are No. 5 in Associated Press Top 25 rankings and received a pair of first-place votes, but still might be underrated

2. Arizona (20-3)

Just when Wildcats appear to be the class of the West, they go and lose on their home court to a mediocre California team

3. Saint Mary’s(20-4)

Gaels haven’t lost since Dellavedova’s Hail Mary beat BYU, but they face powerful Gonzaga on Thursday at home

4. New Mexico(20-4)

Played well in spurts in 64-55 loss at UNLV on Saturday, but still can’t seem to score consistently away from the Pit.

5. Colorado State (19-4)

Rams have won four straight in tough MWC, but face a huge test on Wednesday night when San Diego State pays a visit

6. Oregon (19-5)

Broke a three-game losing skid by eking out a win over hapless Utah at home, lucky to still be in Pac-12 title chase

7. San Diego State (18-5)

Aztecs gutting out some wins without Xavier Thames, who is sidelined by a back injury; when he returns, expect them to ascend to top of MWC standings

8. UNLV (18-6)

Nice 64-55 win over New Mexico on Saturday shows Rebels still have it after they went 0-2 on road swing at Boise State, Fresno State

9. UCLA (18-6)

Swept the Washington schools, but had a more difficult time than expected doing it, still underachieving

10. Arizona State (18-6)

Where would Sun Devils be without freshman sensation Jahii Carson? Probably at the bottom of mediocre Pac-12 standings
